These two are doing a happy dance for a job well done.
No chicken deaths to predators … woohoo 🥳
Daisy and Yuki have been alternating shifts in the field all season and they finally got their first day off!
What did they do first, you ask?
Head straight over to the chicken coop to check on our layers. Their work may be done for the season but apparently they didn’t understand that.
Busy, happy farm dogs!

Today marks the completion of our final batch of chickens for the season.
At 2:45 this morning, Alex and I were up and out the door, rounding up and carefully collecting 240 birds, 39 crates in total.
All of our chickens are inspected and processed at a licensed poultry processing facility, allowing us to legally sell our chicken directly to you, at farmers’ markets and through the local stores we supply under our artisanal chicken licence.
As we close out another season, we just want to say thank you. Thank you to everyone who has purchased our chicken, visited our farm, supported our posts, shared our story and encouraged us along the way.
Now it’s time for a much-needed winter reset, a little slower pace, lots of planning and plenty of work behind the scenes to get ready to raise, prep and serve you again next year.
We’re so grateful to you

I paused in the driveway yesterday afternoon eager to slow down time. I stood there in awe, watching my girls walk back together with pumpkins in their arms.
I quickly asked Alex for his phone so I could record them, never taking my eyes off them.
I didn’t want to miss a second.
It’s definitely bittersweet living all these sweet, special moments one last time through our youngest. As busy as life is, i never take pausing for granted
Thank you to our incredible neighbours for always blessing us with delicious produce.

🚨 EXTRA WHOLE CHICKENS — JUST IN TIME FOR THANKSGIVING!
We had an excellent year raising birds with minimal losses, and after dedicating so many to the stores we supply, Farmers’ Market, and whole-bird pre-orders for next week, we’ll have a limited number of extra whole birds available from our final batch of the season.
These chickens make for a delicious main course and are perfectly sized for your upcoming Thanksgiving gatherings. We’ll also provide our go-to recipe with easy instructions to follow, so you’ll have everything you need for a delicious Thanksgiving meal!
There are only a limited number available, so if you’d like to put your name down for some birds, please message us directly.
Happy Friday!

This was a moment to remember. Perth did such a great job for the night market, hosting incredible bands that had the community gravitating towards each other
Had some good clean fun outside Michael’s Table at the Perth Night Market 🔮🌛✨🎶
Have you tried our homemade blend yet?
No?
Well what are you waiting for? 😅
Stocked up for today’s market at Beckwith Park 11-4 … the Harvest Festival. Over 60 vendors and lots of free activities for the kids, you won’t want to miss it!
We knew she loved the monkey bars, but we didn’t know how much until Alex made her some. Cue the water works 🥹
Sweetest moment that I’ll remember forever.

Shoutout to North Folk Café for always doing such an amazing job supporting local!
We love seeing our chicken make its way into other local businesses and knowing it’s being used to create something delicious right here in our community.
Thank you for continuing to choose local, support local farmers, and keep our community connected. It truly means so much to us ❤️
They sure gave me a “run for my money” 🤑🤣
