Grow With Me was just an idea 5 years ago; a goal. Disconnect kids from the screen and reconnect them to nature. Now, we do this for (almost) every PA Day! These are some of the greatest days for me; reconnecting with my inner child.

Grow With Me spends alot of time on FOOD. Even tending the chickens has a food focus (because we eat the eggs and the chickens we raise!).

Real food. When we dont/cant grow it, we supported local farms Hagerman Farms Jenn Hagerman Thank you for the AMAZING sweet corn. We had to cook all 2 dozen!!!

Camp is something different to every Grow With Me camper. Think back to your days in camp... it was nature, it was art, it was acting... it was BLISS!

I cannot believe these photos are from almost 1 year ago! It is almost time for; fishing, creek swimming, "body surfing", rhubbarb tasting and a lot more! The joy that baby chicks bring to campers is very, very real. They get to hold, snuggle and care for a brand new life; this is a rare opportunity. The campers take this responsibility very seriously. Now, imagine for a moment, our next camp day is May 29th... What if we timed it so that baby chicks are EMERGING from their shell on that day? We cannot guarantee this, but we can try our best! Imagine campers seeing the miracle of birth in real life, not on a screen. Is there anything better than that?

There was a lot of happiness in preparing a home for our bees, but also some sadness too.... We opened up our hive and discovered that the hive from 2025 had swarmed. This was quickly replaced with happiness upon discovering the POUNDS of honey left behind! In life, it is important to teach children that sometimes you win (painting and being creative) and sometimes you lose (bees run away). Grow With Me exposes children to the wonders and realities of nature; winning and losing!
