Who doesn’t love the beautiful blooms of hydrangea? 💐
Fun fact: the name hydrangea comes from Greek roots meaning “water vessel”—and these gorgeous blooms definitely live up to their name because they LOVE water! 💦
Hydrangeas can sometimes be a little tricky. They require plenty of clean, fresh water, but don’t be afraid if they start to droop or wilt in an arrangement!
Here’s a little florist trick: remove the stem, give it a fresh cut at a 45° angle to maximize the surface area, and place it in HOT, HOT tap water. Let it sit for 30 minutes to an hour, and you’ll be amazed when that beautiful bloom revives! 🌸
The hot water can help improve water uptake through the stem and rejuvenate the flower.
