Our team is on-site right now installing signage for the 11th annual Winding Roads Music Festival, taking place Saturday, September 19 in our own hometown, in support of . This year is extra meaningful because it also marks the 50th anniversary of Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Durham, five decades of changing lives right here in our own backyard.

For 11 years running, we have been proud to produce and install the full signage suite for this event. The main stage banner. The 50th anniversary welcome sign and BBBS logo at the entrance. All of the sponsorship signs recognizing the businesses who make this event possible. And the decorative signage that turns the space into a celebration from the moment guests arrive.

Throwback Thursday to a big one.

Back in 2016 we produced and installed the towering vertical building signage for the Waterworks Sales Centre in downtown Toronto. The kind of project where every element has to land perfectly, from the fabrication to the lift day.

SALES CENTRE at the top, high above the streetscape. WATERWORKS, City Condos, Food Hall, Park anchoring the bottom, telling the whole story of what was coming to the neighbourhood.

We love a good archive dive, and this one is a favourite. A moment in time when a beloved Toronto corner was on the cusp of becoming something new. Signage helping tell that story from day one.

Did you know Toronto has new zoning bylaw sign standards?

We recently completed a new zoning notice sign installation at the Toronto Carpet Factory, along with a companion explainer sign that helps neighbours understand exactly what the notice is and how they can get involved in the planning process.

The has updated the way development notices must be designed and displayed. The change is meant to make notices easier to see, easier to understand, and easier to act on for the communities they impact. It matters for developers navigating the process, and it matters for residents who want a say in what is happening on their street.

The first signs are in the ground!

We are thrilled to share the completed Coming Soon sign installations at the Milton locations for , the first three of eleven signs we have been trusted to produce and install for their new communities across the region.

Brampton, Georgetown, Erin, and more will follow in the weeks ahead as we work our way through the full rollout.

A brand-new skid sign for Acorn is officially in place along Leslie Street in East Gwillimbury, serving both 18490 and 18508.

Skid signs are one of our favourite solutions to install because they solve real problems. Fully free-standing, easily moved when needed, and permitted for professional street presence. Our Happy Canada Day sign is proudly displayed at our original location today, just as it has been for so many July firsts before. There is something special about seeing the same red and white go up year after year, in the same town, in the place where so much of our story began.

A beautifully crafted set of channel letters is now in place on the storefront of our newest client at 220 Dundas Street West in Whitby.

Channel letters are one of our favourite projects to build and install. Each letter is individually fabricated and dimensionally crafted, creating a clean, professional storefront identity that delivers a premium first impression the moment patients pull up.

Kingston's new "Forever Hip" signage does exactly that. Massive highway tributes, a photo installation at Slush Puppie Place, downtown murals, and guitar-pick decals in shop windows. All pointing to something that mattered deeply to a community. All in honour of Gord Downie and The Tragically Hip. Sensational Signs had no hand in producing this work, but we are deeply moved by it.

That is what signs can do when they are connected to something deeply human. They hold space for a story. They invite people to step in, literally and figuratively. And they remind us that kindness and care, expressed boldly and publicly, can outlast any one moment.
