Work Connect is now offering Community Support Services/ Peer Support alongside our Construction Site Support and Entry-Level Mining pathways! Through the new Community Support Services/Peer Support pathway, participants can explore opportunities in healthcare, outreach, shelters, community organizations, and support services.

Work Connect is a fully funded employment program designed to help individuals overcome barriers to employment and gain the skills, training, and confidence needed to succeed in today’s workforce. Through our Community Support Services/Peer Support training, participants can prepare for employment in healthcare, outreach, shelters, community organizations, and support services while earning industry-recognized training certificates.

Whether you’re unemployed or underemployed (working 20 hours a week or less) and looking to start a new career, Work Connect can connect you with the training, certifications, supports, and employer opportunities you need to get your foot in the door.

Our Outreach Navigator, Ryanne, attended a Ribbon Skirt workshop last week! She enjoyed the opportunity to discuss the Elevate North program while also learning more about the culture. The experience taught her the value of art, especially for those who choose to sell their creations. She also learned the importance of building connections.
