WHAT. A. SEASON. 🤠🔥

And just like that, another incredible season of Buckin Around BC is in the books... ALMOST!

From Chetwynd to Williams Lake, Prince George to Quesnel and Vanderhoof, we've travelled across British Columbia doing what we love most: bringing people together through RODEO.

We've watched competitors push themselves to new heights, welcomed new faces into our rodeo family, celebrated incredible accomplishments and created memories we'll carry with us for years to come.

But what we're most proud of isn't just what happened inside the arena.

It's the communities that welcomed us, the businesses that believed in us, the volunteers who worked their tails off and the families who showed up to support our vision.

We started this journey with a dream of creating more opportunities for roughstock competitors in British Columbia. Every year, that dream gets a little bigger.

And guess what? WE AREN'T DONE YET.

We've still got one more event on the calendar, and we're going out with a BANG! 💥

Stay tuned as we take a look back at our 2026 season and gear up for the 5th ANNUAL BULLS BEFORE MIDNIGHT! 🕛

We ARE First Nation and damn proud of it. Racism has no place here. ✌🏼

In light of the disturbing act that took place yesterday on Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc land, we want to make something abundantly clear.

Something we will NEVER support, excuse, overlook or tolerate is racism.

Seeing individuals associated with white nationalist and white supremacist ideology gather on First Nation land — just days before the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation — is deeply disturbing.

Buckin Around BC would not be what it is without First Nation people.

First Nation competitors, families, volunteers, sponsors, contractors, communities and Nations are an enormous part of our rodeo family and an enormous part of the western and rodeo communities we are so proud to be involved in.

So there will be no grey area about where we stand.

If you believe First Nation people deserve anything less than the same dignity and respect as everyone else, if you make racist comments, or if you support white supremacist or white nationalist ideology, you do not represent the values of this organization.

And quite frankly, we don’t want your follow.

If those are your beliefs, you are more than welcome to identify yourself in the comments — and then unfollow our page. We will gladly take note of who you are and ensure those values are taken into consideration when choosing who we work with, support, and do business with in the future.

We will never tolerate disrespect toward First Nation people — whether it’s at one of our events, on our social media, or anywhere carrying the Buckin Around BC name.

To our First Nation friends, competitors, volunteers, sponsors, families and communities:

We see you. We respect you. We appreciate you. And we stand beside you.

Racism, hatred and white supremacy have no place here. Period. 🧡

Happy Birthday to one of our very best friends, Kyle. 🎉🤠

Over the last five years, Kyle has become such an integral part of both Mulvahill Rodeo and Buckin Around BC. He’s one of those people who is always willing to jump in, lend a hand, and do whatever needs to be done — and we’ll never be able to fully express how grateful we are for everything he does.

But even more than that, we’re grateful for the friendship. Kyle is truly one of a kind, both inside and outside of the arena, and we’re damn proud to call him one of our best friends. ❤️

Happy Birthday, Kyle! We hope you know just how appreciated you are — today and every day. Here’s to another year of rodeos, good times, ice cold crown n pepsi’s, and probably a little bit of chaos. 😂🤠🍻

There’s something about a good buddy that makes every accomplishment feel a little more special. 🤠

The buddy cheering from behind the chutes so loud their voice cracks. The one who tells you to “Go be a badass!”, right before you nod your head, because they know that’s exactly what you need to hear.

The buddy who might be competing against you, but is always rooting for you.

They celebrate your wins, pick you up after the rough ones, and somehow make the whole ride a hell of a lot more fun.

Those are our kind of friends. Those are rodeo friends. 🖤🤠

Quesnel… THANK YOU. 🤎

The dust has settled on the FIRST EVER Gold Town Showdown, and we are so incredibly grateful to every single person who came out and supported us.

The work doesn’t end when the event is over — we still have a lot of post-event work ahead of us, but we wanted to take a minute to say thank you.

Did everything go exactly how we hoped it would? No. But honestly, we didn’t expect a first-year event to be perfect.

There were bumps in the road, hiccups, last-minute changes and things we simply couldn’t have anticipated until we were actually in the middle of it. We rolled with the punches, kept moving forward and, at the end of the day, we brought a brand-new roughstock event to Quesnel — something we have wanted to do for a very long time. 🤠

And we are proud of that.

We learned. We grew. We took notes — a LOT of notes. 😂 We wrote down every single thing we could think of that we want to change, improve or build on for next year.

Because this was never supposed to be the finish line.

This was the start.

To the sponsors who took a chance on a first-year event, the volunteers and crew who worked their butts off, the competitors who entered, and every spectator who bought a ticket and showed up — thank you for believing in the Gold Town Showdown from the very beginning.

There is something pretty special about being able to say, “I was there for the first one.” 🤎🤠👏🏼

And now we want to hear from YOU.

If you have suggestions, ideas or constructive criticism, please send us a PM. Tell us what you loved, what you’d like to see changed, and what would make the Gold Town Showdown even better next year.

Your opinions matter to us. These events simply wouldn’t be possible without our sponsors, spectators, competitors, volunteers and community supporting them.

Year one is officially in the books.

We know where we can do better. We know where we want to grow.

And we’re just getting started, Quesnel. 🤠🔥

Thank you for being there at the beginning. 🤎

The dust has officially settled on the 2nd Annual Bulls & Baby Buckers… and WOW. 🤠🔥

We truly cannot thank everyone enough for the incredible support this year! This event grew exponentially from last year, and seeing that growth firsthand was pretty amazing. We already can’t wait to see where Bulls & Baby Buckers goes from here. 🧡

Of course, there were a few hiccups and a few learning moments — that comes with growing! But overall, the event ran incredibly well, and we are SO proud of the hard work our entire crew put in to make it happen.

To every single sponsor who helped make this event possible: THANK YOU. Your support is a huge part of why we’re able to keep building these events year after year.

And to our volunteers — the people who showed up, jumped in wherever they were needed, worked their butts off and helped keep everything moving — we appreciate you more than words can say. ❤️

Now we’re organizing paperwork, getting payouts completed, catching up on all the behind-the-scenes stuff… and then it’s right back at it because Gold Town Showdown is NEXT! 👀🔥
