This is a BEAUTIFUL 150-year-old linden tree. We have been pruning it for the last 15 years.
After pruning, we chip the limbs and leaves and distribute them underneath around the trunk.
This feeds the tree and mimics the nutrient cycle. Notice the shade pattern around the tree; this is just one reason we continue to prune.
We have also repaired the tree's weak structure with a number of bolts and cables.
This tree is located at the top of a hill, and we have yet to lose a limb due to environmental stresses.
