First Steps and Beyond

🍂🎨 Art in Nature! 🎨🍂
Our Grade 1 & 2 students took their art class outdoors to explore nature and collect beautiful leaves. Back in the classroom, they turned their leafy treasures into colourful works of art by painting and printing them on paper! 🍁🖌️

A fun way to connect creativity, nature, and learning! 💛🌿

What an incredible experience this morning. Our Terry Fox Run turned into being a part of Red Deer's history. We were invited to share in the ribbon cutting ceremony and inaugural walk of the new pedestrian bridge. An incredible honor. Thank you to Mayor Jeffries and her staff for bringing together the present and the past.

Wrapping up our busy week with some gym fun.

Splashes, snacks, and The Boss Baby! 🌊🎬
Our Grade 1–5 students had the best time at the pool today before cooling off inside with an afternoon movie. 🎥

Our preschoolers had so much fun getting creative with Play-Doh! 👐🎨 As they rolled, squished, pinched, and shaped their creations, they were also strengthening those important fine motor skills and building hand muscles needed for writing, cutting, and other everyday tasks. Learning through play is the best kind of learning! 💛

Our preschoolers had such a fun first week! 💛✨ It has been wonderful watching them explore their new classroom, get to know each other, and settle into their new routines.
They’ve already been having lots of fun, sharing smiles and laughter, and getting along so well with one another. 🥰🌈 We’re so proud of how wonderfully they’ve started their preschool journey!

We can’t wait to see all the fun, learning, and growing that this year will bring! 📚🖍️💕
