You’re probably going to hear us talk a little more about accessible renovation planning around here.
Planning for accessibility is not new to us, but our Adaptiv Home certification has given our team even more knowledge to help homeowners think ahead when they’re renovating.
And that doesn’t always mean making big changes. Small choices now can make a big difference 10, 15, or even 20 years from now.
It can be things like reinforcing bathroom walls for future grab bars, leaving more clearance around a kitchen island, or choosing a curbless shower. (which can also look very chic)
Accessible design doesn’t have to feel clinical. A few thoughtful choices can make your home more comfortable now and give you more flexibility down the road.
For us, it’s another way we can bring more experience and better guidance to the planning process. Click the link below to learn more about accessibility planning and what it means to be Adaptiv Certified.

Once a year, we get the whole Collaborative crew together for our AGM. It’s a chance to step out of the day-to-day, look back at what we’ve learned, and talk about where we’re headed next.
This year, we covered a lot. We talked about new systems and processes that help projects run more consistently, better client communication, the growing role of our in-house construction team, and the work happening behind the scenes before a project ever reaches site.
A lot of the conversation came back to the same idea: as Collaborative grows, we want to be intentional about the kind of company we’re building, and make sure that growth means something better for our clients, our team and our community.
After a morning of talking about the company we want to keep building together, it only felt right to spend the afternoon shooting lasers at each other. 🔫🤪
We wrapped things up at ICombat Barracks, fuelled by lunch from Italian Star Deli!

We recently joined the Regina & Region Home Builders' Association for one of their member events, and they couldn’t have asked for a better day for a BBQ. Beautiful weather, a great turnout, and a delicious lunch. 🍔
These events take a lot of work to put together, but they create some really valuable opportunities for our industry. We get to catch up with people we know, meet people we don’t always cross paths with, and learn about new products, services, and initiatives happening in Regina’s construction community.
Special thanks to Stu and his team, who has always been an amazing advocate for us in the industry. We appreciate everything you do, and everyone who helps create these opportunities for us all to connect!

We had a great time at the Red Jacket Classic in support of Ronald McDonald House Saskatchewan
We sponsored hole three, where each golfer who visited us got one shot to hammer a nail into a 4x4 as fast as they could, with the option to upgrade to Thor's Hammer for a $5 donation.
The fastest time of the day went to John G. at 1.06 seconds, with Nicole Calder from McDonald’s right behind him at 1.08. John took home a drill and driver set as the day's winner.
But the competition came with more than bragging rights. Those $5 Thor’s Hammer upgrades added up, raising an additional $340 for the cause!
Huge thanks to everyone who helped pull the day together and to RMHC for having us. We're already looking forward to next year, when the new Regina Ronald McDonald House we're proud to be contributing to will open and welcome families.

Another Gravity plumbing and Heating versus CoCon golf tournament in the books! 🏌️♂️⛳️
For five years now, our team and the crew at Gravity Plumbing have been getting together for a little friendly competition at the
We ended the day at Nick Connell’s, where he treated us to steaks on the BBQ. If you’ve ever been lucky enough to have one, you already know dinner didn’t disappoint.
We talk a lot about how much we value the trades we work with, and days like this are a good reminder that those relationships go well beyond the job site. We're lucky to work alongside people we genuinely enjoy spending time with, even when they're beating us at golf.*
*Results deemed official under protest. 😆

It's all in the details.
Back at this time we're looking closer at the small stuff. The built-in bookshelf with its own lighting is such a nice touch, with the herringbone backsplash adds just the right amount of character. Add in fixtures that look as good as they work, and it’s those thoughtful little details that really make a house feel like home.
Big thanks to Christy from Envy House Interiors, who worked alongside the homeowners and picked out every fixture in this space.

The before and after…
We just had to share this one again. It wrapped up last year, but we still think about it. Designed by House Envy Interiors and brought to life by our team, this project had no shortage of standout moments, from foot-sensor recycling pullouts to a custom millwork bookshelf with built-in lighting. These homeowners made it easy, and honestly, a joy from start to finish.
