Please note that as I am taking a few days off, that messages, voicemail, might take a few days to get back too. Roxanne is doing her best working alone and will not be answering the phone while she has dogs on the table or in the tub. I appreciate everyone's patience. Thank you π π π

I have thick skin, but this hurt. I was informed today, that a woman at a hair salon in Embrun has been spreading a slanderous lie about me and my buisness. She claims that after her dog was groomed at my salon, he was "stoned" and so I must have drugged her dog without her knowledge and was telling others NOT to bring their dog to me.
The tounge is sharper then the sword,π’ let me tell you, because...that one....hurt.
So.
Let me provide the facts. It is illegal for me to give sedative drugs or even purchase sedative drugs. I simply don't have access. I don't even have C*D. I never give anything to the dogs while in my care. Pet owners must provide treats if they wish me to give treat rewards during the grooming.
I have groomed for this community for almost 20 years. I give my all to my clients. I given my health, my time, I have provided extra care often at no extra cost. I don't take enough vacations, I don't charge enough and too often I give services for free. I do this because I love what I do. I love your dogs. I love grooming your dogs. I would never put a dogs safety in jeopardy. Safety is my number one policy. I will stop a groom even if means I dont get paid for it.
Groomer burn out is on the rise. We hear a lot about Vets mental health, well, groomers also suffer from mental health issues. Often caused by hateful rumors like this that are cowardly and spiteful. If a client had a concern, she should have spoken with me.
Dog behavior has gotten...concerning over the last few years. The anxiety in dogs is increasing every year with every generation. I see it and it breaks my heart, because it makes grooming harder, more time consuming, more expensive, and sadly more dangerous. I will recommend vet intervention (medication) and I am doing so more and more, not because I want too, but because the animals safety is paramount, and sometimes medication provided by a vet can help.
But I can't, nor would I ever, provide or administer medication to a dog.
Never.
So.
If you hear this hateful rumor, please understand its not true. Not everything you hear is true. If you have concerns, or questions talk to me.
Be kind to your groomer. We are human too.
To all my beautiful and lovely clients. I appreciate all of you.

Due to an unexpected medical procedure that had left me unable to groom for a few days, please note that the salon will be closed tomorrow. I will do my absolute best to get those clients who needed to be rescheduled in as soon as possible, but with an other medical procedure next weekend(yay me π ) my availability may be limited depending on doctors recommendations. As everyone knows, grooming is a very physical job and sometimes the job doesn't allow me to work and heal at the same time. I apologize, and I hate taking time off, but I am old now and my body is demanding I prioritize it first. I ask for everyone's kindness and patience as Roxanne Charbonneau, Melissa and myself get all the puppies beautiful for everyone. Appreciate you all!! π π₯° pic of my nurse buddy β€οΈ
