Hōkūle'a is arriving in Ganges on Saturday August 12th afternoon as they journey around the Pacific.
A historic visit to Saltspring with the history of the Hawaiian settlement here.
Kanaka is Hawaiian for “human beings” and the name of the main Harbour Authority visitor dock in Ganges.
Hōkūle'a will be offering tours of the canoe and will be in Ganges until Sunday night.
Donations will be accepted by the Hōkūle'a crew for relief efforts from the devastating fires in Maui.

The Harbour House Hotel will also have a special hawaiian themed dinner available.

TOMORROW! - Thursday July 13th at 7 pm just off the floatplane dock in Ganges.

Sailing cruises in the daytime followed by an evening concert with singer songwriter Renee Layla and Brazilian samba band Ciranda - with special guest Jose Sanchez!
Concert 7 pm. Look for the tall ship anchored just off the floatplane dock - bring your blanket to watch from shore or throw down a canoe, kayak or paddle board to get ‘front row seats’!
