~ Crescent Moon Tattoo Enhancement ~
Sometimes what you got isn’t right anymore and needs a change up.

Great, come talk to me about your idea or we can brainstorm together and come up with dozens of options to take it to a different place.

Simone was clear on what she wanted done and we got to work! 𝗦𝗜𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗘 | ARTZ

Done in winter of 2025

Here you can see the existing design. We are getting ready to place the changes over top.

Work area tour ~ looks like a paper crafting project! And then the peel and reveal.

There’s a bit more too, some of the stars will extend toward Simone’s wrist

And here’s what it might look like. After some consideration we make a few changes.

Final result from top POV

Final result ~ she’s happy with this!
It’s still red since this video is taken within 5min of finishing up.

Redness goes down in about an hour-ish depending on the person and area of the body.

I loved working on this! Thank you so much Simone! ✨🔮✨🌙

~ small and simple ~ sometimes that is all we need ~ this client celebrates Summer and Ocean!

~ custom spider tattoo ~ got a request for this one and thrilled to add unique markings and draw those legs out longer so they look extra spindly.

More spiders please!! 😎🕷️🕸️

~ first tattoo ever! ~ this request presented something new for me:

Could I do this text and make it look like chiseled stone?

Luckily the client had brought the exact reference, a photograph of these words carved in grey rock. Haha no spell check required.

To make it work as a tattoo, I digitally amended the perspective and increased the contrast for the stencil printer.

Thank you Axel!
Yes you can get tattooed in your 50s, 60s, 70s and up!

~ special island ~ for this client who lives way far away on the other side of Canada. They wanted a reminder of the beloved West Coast.

Even for a simple tattoo, there are many variables and considerations such as;
Do we include the mountain range behind it?
As lines or shining only?
Should we express the water as waves or as shadows?
How dark our light should the tonal values be for the shadow or the mountain and or the water?

What you’re saying here is the final decision and look we’re going for is soft and dreamy.

Thank you so much for inviting me to create this sentimental tattoo for you!

A placement test

Another placement test closer to the edge of the shoulder cap

Final positioning with the stencil applied

(The little red mark underneath is where I had to remove some lettering, which I’d included so I could tell which way it went).

And here’s the final tattoo ~ her partner and young children participated in the design decisions the entire way ~ and they loved the result!! So cute :)

~ bestie tattoos ~ for this lovely group ~ they created a symbol with a super secret and special meaning to them.

Super fun day in the studio, thank you so much for working with me!
