Thank you Maureen for a recap of the semester and all our speakers. This semester was jam packed full of great speakers and topics, with lots of really great take home advice! We all hope you enjoyed it as much as we have!

Maureen also spoke about what gifts are we able to pass onto our children. Healthy, happy, and stable parent(s) are incredibly important, but what other legacies do you want to pass to your children?

What you need most in the trenches of motherhood is a relationship with God.
God can meet our needs in the most unexpected ways. Maureen shared her journey about encountering God. When you get to the place where you are ready to begin a relationship with God, all you have to do is ask him - he’ll do the rest, often in unexpected ways. 🤍

Sorry for the late post! Thank you to everyone who submitted this semester! Here’s a list of a few of them (we have chosen note to post the ones with our children’s faces just to maintain their privacy). Thank you to everyone for your tips and tricks!

Thank you Luanne for your vulnerability, honesty, and encouragement today!

In a day and age where big results are expected quickly, today was a good reminder that it’s the small, repeatable habits that propel us forward towards change.

Our lives as mothers are chaotic and exhausting. Consistency in the small things will lead us to big changes. What’s one small step that you can do today to move you in a different direction?

Thank you Ange for speaking to all of us today (and thank you for the laughs!)

- Habits for a Healthy Marriage:
Cancel the criticism: criticsm can occur because men and women don’t always understand each other.

“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.” Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭29‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Pile on the positives: With every negative interaction, you need to have 5 positive interactions.
- What are your love languages? What are your spouse’s?
- Acts of Service
- Physical Touch
- Words of Affirmation
- Quality Time
- Gift Giving
“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭2‬-‭3‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Believe the best: how we respond is usually determined by our thoughts and emotional state - positive or negative. Develop the habit of assuming positive intent.

Value vulnerability:
Benefits of being vulnerable: closer bond, breaks down emotional walks, invites honesty, makes space for open communication, and embraces authenticity. Vulnerability is not weakness - it’s strong and courageous. It’s important to set boundaries and only share when you feel ready and in a safe place.

Relationships aren’t meant to stay the same, they’re meant to change and shape and form. The things that we need and value in life shift over time. All relationships go through different phases. Relationships include spouse, kids, friends, and also God.
- How can you build a relationship with God in your marriage: worship, pray, serve together.

Thank you Laura for speaking on the topic of “The Power of a Great Soundtrack” and sharing with us about how our thoughts have the power to influence us either positively or negatively.

1. Recognizing our thoughts have power
- Sometimes we have broken soundtracks
- Sometimes our negative thoughts are so habitual that we don’t even recognize them as broken.
- Have we had experiences that have created these thought patterns for us?
- Who in our lives have influenced our way of thinking? Is it positive or negative?
- It takes a lot of intentional work to change our thought patterns.

2. It is important to transform our broken soundtracks in order to not transfer them to our children.
- What are the words we speak to ourselves? Are they positive or negative? How do our thoughts towards ourselves influence our children and how they think and see themselves?

- Steps to transform our thinking. 1) Listen and pay attention to those thoughts. 2) look for evidence - are these thoughts true or are they not true? Is there evidence to support these thoughts or is this something I’m making up? Does it line up with what/who the Bible says about me? 3) if you recognize a broken soundtrack, replace it with the truthful and accurate soundtrack. Repeat the truth until it becomes the new automatic soundtrack.

The two books Laura made reference to today are: “Battlefield of the Mind” by Joyce Meyers and “Remaining you while raising them” by Alli Worthington

Thank you to Marlynn, Jodi, and Ange for sharing some of their thoughts on motherhood!

If something these ladies talked about resonated with you, please reach out so we can connect you! Motherhood is hard, we exist to support each other through it!

And remember: run your own race. You’re doing great momma! 🤍

Thank you Marlynn for your words of wisdom this week!

Point 1: Good moms love their families well. To love others well, we need to take care of ourselves and love ourselves.

Point 2: Moms can’t do it all, and do it all perfectly, and that’s ok.
Making mistakes helps our kids build resilience, tolerance, and empathy.
When we make mistakes we are building character.

Point 3: Mom friends understand the struggles you’re going through.
Friends encourage us on bad days, strengthen us on weak days, and even give us a kick in the pants when we need it.

🤍🤍🤍

“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭13‬-‭17‬ ‭NIV‬‬
