FAQ
Q: What is the pressure like during my massage session?
A: The pressure used during your massage session is tailored to your needs and comfort level. During the session, I will check in with you multiple times to make sure the pressure is right for you.
Q: Is heavier pressure better?
A: Generally speaking, heavier pressure is more effective in releasing tension in tight muscles. If this is what you are looking for during your session, the amount of pressure required for optimal effectiveness should feel like a comfortable discomfort. Any more than that can cause the opposite to happen, if you find yourself tensing your muscles due to the increased pressure, please let me know, I’ll need to ease off a bit to avoid overworking your muscles and causing unnecessary discomfort during and after the session.
Everyone’s bodies and tolerance levels are different, my goal is to find the ideal pressure that works best for you. Help me make your session the best it can be by letting me know when to add more pressure and when to add less!

After care for your massage
During your session, I may have applied a fair amount of pressure to your muscles in order to relieve built up swelling in the area. So it is completely normal for you to experience some soreness following the massage. Here’s a few things I recommend my clients do to ease any soreness or discomfort post appointment.
💧Remember to Hydrate
Drink plenty of water after your massage. One of the easiest steps and probably the most beneficial.
😌 Take it easy
Try to rest and avoid any strenuous activity. Your muscles just took a beating, so give them a chance to recuperate.
🛀 Warm Treatment
Enjoy a warm epsom salt bath to soothe your muscles. Soak for 20 minutes.
🧊 Cold Treatment
Particularly painful or sore? Apply ice or a cold compress to the affected area. The cold will help relieve inflammation, reducing swelling and soreness. Cold treatment should be applied in 20 minute intervals, if continuous application is needed.
What method is your go-to? If you have any other great tips, leave them in the comments below. If you need any more information, send me a DM!

💬 Before your massage
Wondering how to prepare for your massage? Consider the following:
Intake form‼️
If you are a new client, once you’ve booked your first appointment, you will receive an email inviting you to create a profile through my booking website. In addition, there will be an intake form available that must be completed before your first session. This form only needs to be filled out once, for your first visit, and again on a yearly basis to make sure your profile is up to date.
❧ Just got a new tattoo? ❧
You will have to wait a minimum of 2 weeks (4 weeks is even better) before I can work over the area(s) you just got tattooed. As long as you can lay comfortably on the area, and your fresh tattoo is covered to avoid the spread of bloodborne pathogens and infection, we can focus on other areas during your session.
☀️Fresh Sunburn?☀️
It’s that time of year for soaking up rays and regretfully, picking up sunburns. If the sunburnt area is painful to the touch, I will need to avoid it in order to avoid aggravating the skin further and causing you unnecessary discomfort. If the sunburn prevents you from laying on the area comfortably, consider waiting until your skin has had time to heal before booking your appointment.
Up close and personal 💆♀️
Like many other personal services available, a massage session requires the client and therapist to be in very close proximity. Showering as close as possible to your appointment is always appreciated. This is in no way to discourage you from coming for a massage directly after work, just something to consider.
And a good rule of thumb for any appointment, plan to arrive on time or early. This will ensure you have time to find a parking spot, figure out the new parking app, use the restroom and silence your phone. I want to provide you with a relaxing session, so let's make sure things are taken care of before we start so you won’t have to stress during your session.

💬FAQ
Q: Do I have to get naked for my massage?
A: Your comfort is my top priority.
Every session begins with a client consultation; this is when we discuss what brought you in today. I will inquire about what sort of treatment you want, general or specific areas of the body you would like to focus on or avoid completely. I will also answer any questions you may have. So please feel free to ask any questions or express any concerns you may have, not only during this time, but at any time during your session.
After the consultation, I will leave the room so you can get undressed to your level of comfort, and I mean *any* level of comfort that is suitable for you (from naked to fully clothed). I can do techniques over clothing, so if you are more comfortable clothed, half-clothed, or unclothed, I will work with you to ensure you feel at ease and safe. Once you are ready, get between the fitted sheet and the top sheet; face down unless otherwise instructed. A table warmer is available underneath to keep you warm and cozy throughout the session. Simply let me know what setting you would like (high, medium, low or off); this can be adjusted at any time during your massage.
During the massage, only the body part that I am working on is uncovered. I will only work on one body part at a time and I’ll never work under the sheet. You should feel covered, warm and comfortable throughout your session.
Your comfort is always my top priority; if you are too warm, too cold, or uncomfortable in any way, please speak up and let me know!
When it is time for you to turn over, I will lift up the sheet enough for you to roll over while remaining fully covered. I also have an additional heating pad to lay on top of you if you would like some extra warmth.
Once the massage is done, I will cover you back up completely before leaving the room. Once you are ready (take your time getting up as you might be groggy) you can get up and get dressed.
Q: What do people usually do?
A: More often than not, clients will undress down to their underwear.
The most important thing is my clients’ comfort and I am happy to work with any amount of clothing you decide to take off or leave on.
