There's nothing quite like a garden carrot.

I'm especially proud of how big my carrots are this year! I love growing rainbow carrots because they're so beautiful, but everyone in my life seems conditioned to believe carrots should be only orange, so they never eat them!

If you're having trouble with voles eating your carrots, you can either get cats to help keep them away or plant your carrots in raised beds. Voles can still get into raised beds, but it makes things a bit trickier for them!

If you grow carrots, do you prefer the traditional orange ones or the more colourful rainbow varieties?

This Sunday, September 20th, is the last Prairie Flower Market YXE of the season. I hope to see you there!

I'll have lots of dried flower pumpkins and bouquets, but I'll only have one or two fresh pumpkins on display. If you know you want a fresh pumpkin arrangement, DM me ahead of time, and I'll make sure you have one!

🌷 It's still a bit too warm to plant those spring-blooming bulbs, with daytime highs around 20°C and nighttime lows around 10°C. I'd wait until overnight temperatures are closer to freezing!

This bridal bouquet is a bit different than my norm, but I find it so beautiful! Every flower but the roses was either grown by me or sourced from another local grower.

I've arranged over 20 weddings from June until now, and I still have several more scheduled for 2026! I've been really lucky to have such a full year of bridal work.

These are the coolest beans I have ever seen!

I initially got this French Delight variety from Semences Allumettes / Matches Seeds because I thought they looked pretty. This year, I clearly missed the window for eating them fresh, so I’m letting them all go to seed.

Next year, I plan to plant all the seeds I saved, and hopefully, the following year, I’ll actually be able to enjoy them fresh!
