On Saturday, our President Janet Gibson and Vice President Jenny Tait, travelled to Regina to join Squawk 'n Talk Bird Club for their monthly meeting, and we had such a great time!!!

A HUGE thank you to everyone at Squawk n’ Talk for being so welcoming and inviting us to share what running Saskatoon Parrot Rescue looks like behind the scenes! From surrenders and finding foster placements to our application vetting process, fundraising, and events, we loved getting to share a little bit of everything that goes into running our nonprofit rescue!

It was so wonderful to connect with another group of passionate parrot people, share ideas, and talk about ways we can work together to cover more bases in Saskatchewan! We’re already looking forward to a future toy-making event and all the other fun opportunities that will bring our teams together! 🦜

And of course, we want to give a HUGE shout-out to our very own volunteers and board members!!!

We absolutely could not do what we do without our incredible team! Every bit of time, dedication, and support makes a difference in the lives of the birds who come into our care. As our volunteer numbers continue to grow, we’re excited to keep revamping and improving our systems so we can continue building a strong, organized, and supportive rescue community!!
