Washrooms at HBCA - HILLSIDE BEACH COTTAGE ASSOCIATION ... a great solution.
A reminder ... and good to follow ... 1. Know where you are placing your foot before placing your foot. (may be Trespassing or need proper authorization to proceed and have proper liability insurance in place)
a sad memory from July 2020 ...

When Lester Beach was still a private resort in 1973 & 1974 & other years, Alex Lester, my grandfather was an appointed Fire Guardian by the Province of Manitoba. I was 11 & 12 on these, and as family and friends we looked at him for his principles appointed to him. Lester Beach went from being a private resort to Subdivision by the LGD of Alexander in 1980 with the assistance of Manitoba Community Planning in Beausejour under the tutelage of Ed Dubray who later became the Mayor of Beausejour and he was an avid supporter of the Red River North Trail Association Inc. (RRNTA) and the concept of the Trans Canada Trail (TCT) and it is in 10 municipalities from NE Winnipeg for over 400 km from 2017 to current.
The importance of this is the RRNTA connection of TCT from First Avenue & Pioneer Street to the former railbed to the east on RM Road Allowance Right of Way - ROW (closed road status to the east of Pioneer Street) to Manitoba Province jurisdiction (part of the public road access) which has a exit near Belair and on the east side of Thomson General Store and since 2017 has provided an access for the community to escape in an emergency (such as a fire). It is from the donated land for a Lester Beach Sportsfield of Maud Lester and Lester family, that allowed for the continuance of the August long weekend family fun days which was previously allowed on Lester lands at the time (original homestead) near Lester Boulevard (or thought so by many).
Another subdivision on the north side of First Avenue (along it) near the Lester Beach Sportsfield was donated by the Tom Lester family in 2018 to allow for proper parking as First Avenue (paved) was built and skewed to the north of its ROW (originally built incorrectly as there was no room for ditches on the existing land and the soil was the same consistency as 1980 Lester Beach subdivision which does not have planned ditches.).
The catalyst to get more donated land, donated gravel, and RRNTA approvals (land use agreements) and permits was the Executive Director of RRNTA and it assisted in community safety. The ED of RRNTA was myself.
