Dampwood Termites are native to the Pacific Northwest and swarm in late August early September. If you live in North Saanich you've been seeing quite a few of these flying around. They are making their nuptial flights to go an start their own colonies. They nest in moist rotting wood, hence the name Dampwood. So removing any rotting wood from where you are seeing them should stop the infestation, but the under lying water damage issue needs to be resolved.
