Join us for the Burn Material Showcase on Sunday, September 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Lesser Slave Regional Fire Service – Hall 1.

Come see live comparison burns demonstrating how different building materials respond when exposed to heat and flame — including fire-rated materials compared with non-fire-resistant alternatives.

Marten Beach Wildfire Preparedness Clean-Up Day is tomorrow!!

Join us Saturday, August 22 for the Marten Beach Wildfire Preparedness Clean-Up Day.

Marten Beach has been a long-standing FireSmart community, and we’re excited to continue that work together. This is a great opportunity for community members to get involved, help reduce wildfire risk, and make a difference right here in our community.

Whether you’re a long-time FireSmart supporter or new to the work, we’d love to see you out!

Tomorrow (Monday) we'll be hosting our friends at Lesser Slave Regional Fire Service from around 6pm-7:30pm. They'll be bringing their fire trucks and offering tours. Bring your kids to meet the local crew and tour a truck!

We have a special bond with the local fire crew which was strengthened in October of 2019. Here is a little reminder of the mix-up that put us on the map.
