The Goldenrod Crab Spider is an ambush hunter, waiting in flowers for flies, butterflies, and bees to land before striking. They also possess the ability to change colour from yellow to white over the course of a few days to better blend in with the flower they’re hiding in. Which is exactly what this female is doing, blending in with the yellow stamen and pollen on this Rugosa rose.
