“Inception” - 24” x 48” - acrylic on plexiglass. This piece is indicative of the inception, the beginning, of a new journey or path. It’s explorative. It’s exciting! I hope you enjoy.

These paintings have been in the works a for awhile now so I’m thrilled to finally share them with you! They are based on Carl Jung’s concept of Individuation…making the unconscious, conscious, and becoming whole as a person. The conscious is represented by the red square and the blue circle is the unconscious. As you move from Part I to Part III the circle and square start to merge into one and the chaos moves from the center towards the outside.

This illumination has been a concept of mine for over 6 months now and I was finally able to bring it to life in this piece! It consists of 4 layers of thick plexiglass, etched with a utility knife, and then painted with acrylic. I also built the walnut frame to house the work and LED lights. The design is based on the Isotropic Vector Matrix from the work of Buckminster Fuller. If you want to learn more, check out - also thanks to for the geometric reference!
