These photos are hard to look back on.

A year ago, we were looking at his foot after his side-by-side accident and honestly had no idea what the next year of healing would look like. I shared so much of his wound-healing journey here. The good days, the hard days, and all the little steps in between.

Now, one year later, the wounds are closed and he’s come such a long way. But healing doesn’t always end when the skin closes.

We’re still working on the scars, the tightness and keeping the skin moisturized and flexible. Some days they’re more noticeable and uncomfortable than others.

But looking at that first picture and then seeing where he is today… I’m just incredibly grateful. ❤️‍🩹

A year of healing. A year of progress. And we’re still going. 🤍
