What’s even more impressive? Lachlan had 21 strikeouts in this game as well 🥶

📣 ATTENTION ROOKIE BALL PARENTS

At SABA, like many of you, we have been closely monitoring the City of Summerside and Summerside Police' updates in regards to the Solar Panel Fires that have been occurring these last few days.

We would be remised if we didn't start off by saying THANK YOU to the The City of Summerside, Summerside Police Service, Summerside Fire Services and all volunteers for keeping our community safe and up to date throughout this last weeks events that left many uneasy and worried.

We have made the decision based on all information that has been provided to date, to GO AHEAD with our ''Rookie Ball Wrap Up'' this SATURDAY AT VIV (TURF) field with the SAME schedule and TIMES that were originally posted. There will also be PIZZA and REFRESHMENTS provided as well as MEDALS for the athletes after each session!

* Please note, on VIV FIELD there is ABSOLUTELY NO Sunflower Seeds or Gum.

With that being said, we also wanted to let families know that IF you are not able to attend this weekends session or do not feel comfortable having your athlete outside for the session - please email us and we can make arrangements for your child to get their well deserved medal ([email protected]).

It has been an unconventional year in regards to Rookie Ball due to field location but we'd like to send all of you a sincere thank you for sticking with us and riding it out and making the most out of what was not an ideal situation.

A BIG thank you goes out to The City of Summerside personnel, Summerside Police and Summerside Fire who have been on the front lines and keeping us safe and informed to the best of their abilities.

At times thankless but just know we are in good hands with our First Responders and City of Summerside representatives.

12:00 PM UPDATE | SUMMERSIDE SUNBANK FIRE

Conditions at the Summerside Sunbank site is showing signs of improvement. Wind conditions as of 12:00 noon continue to be trending in the positive direction at this time.

Summerside Fire Services will continue operations throughout the day, while Summerside Police Services will continue using drone thermal imaging to monitor the site for temperature changes and any potential flare-ups.

The City of Summerside channels will be providing an update shortly on testing to Air Quality and drinking water.

Emergency Services Crews will continue monitoring the site and further public updates will be provided as information becomes available.
