Excited to finally start the mechanical restoration of absolute unicorn E61 M5. She’s fresh off the boat and is ready for a lot of OEM loving.

Suspension, big brakes, engine, and maybe a manual swap in its future? ;) stay tuned.

Another day another E60 M5 manual swap :)

Since we’re starting another E60 M5 manual swap this week, here’s a clip of the AutoSolutions short shifter we just installed in thd shop M5. It’s maybe a touch on the notchy side, but does make shifting these manual V10 sedans even more fun!

The new shop M3s motor looks damn good for nearly 200,000 miles and even better with these aluminum valve covers. We also replaced the failure-prone plastic vanos adjuster caps with washers sold by . These install under the main camshaft bolts and are a proper permanent solution that don’t cost an arm and a leg. It had its valve cover gaskets changed on the original magnesium covers only a few years ago and was already leaking again badly.

Check out this sweet 2002 Z3 3.0 that came in for valve cover gasket, plugs, and all the fluids. The previous owner clearly kept on top of oil changes.

Bilstein B8 & Vogtland spring install went a little sideways when we found a broken camber arm bolt. Nothing like a broken bolt to start your Saturday!

Had with their beautiful 6 speed E90 M3 in the shop this weekend for a big fluid flush. Power steering, brake and differential fluid all flushed me and ready for some spring driving! :)

A couple weeks back came in with a beautiful 335is for a full brake job with Zimmerman rotors and Akebono ceramic pads (lower dust than OEM), as well as a quick oil change while the brakes were being done.

What a sweet ride!

Just a little update on 's sweet 2020 M4. The downpipes are in, with excellent fitment. The project also expanded a little bit with the inclusion of a single pipe midsection. Many S55 owners opt for a single pipe midsection to better harmonize the exhaust, fixing much of the weirdness with the stock exhaust sound.
