M2M Tech was proud to attend and sponsor the Sustainable Blue Economy Summit, hosted by Ocean Alliance Canada and ECO Canada, bringing together leaders and innovators working to build a safer, smarter, and more sustainable blue economy.

As part of the summit, we presented DeckGuard Vision, our Edge AI solution for safety and incident detection, demonstrating how real-time AI can support safety-critical maritime operations directly at the edge.

Built on M2M Tech’s MEA Edge AI platform, DeckGuard Vision processes computer vision on-device, enabling real-time detection without continuous cloud video streaming, even in low-bandwidth environments and challenging maritime conditions.

We’re proud to contribute to the conversation around how AI, edge computing, and real-time intelligence can strengthen the future of maritime operations.

⚡ Physical AI needs a data foundation built for the real world!

At ALL IN 2026 in Montréal, M2M Tech showcased how Physical AI comes together across the full data and AI pipeline, from data generated by cameras and sensors at the edge to the AI systems that analyze, understand, and act on that information in real time.

A key part of this architecture is DDN Infinia, providing the data foundation to support high-performance Physical AI workloads and connect distributed data across edge environments. Combined with NVIDIA technologies, this enables the data, computing, and AI capabilities needed to bring Physical AI into real-world operations.

Together with DDN, we’re working toward more scalable Physical AI deployments, helping organizations move beyond isolated AI pilots and build systems that can operate across real-world environments.

ALL IN gave us the opportunity to demonstrate what this looks like in practice and show how the right combination of data infrastructure, Edge AI, and accelerated computing can help turn physical-world data into actionable intelligence.

From agriculture and energy to mining and utilities, we’re helping connect data, process it at the edge, and turn insights into action.

🏆 We won the 2026 AI Challenge at ALL IN!

M2M Tech is proud to share that our team, together with AI.Connect Global, has won the City of Montréal’s (Ville de Montréal) 2026 AI Challenge at ALL IN 2026.

Our winning solution, SIGNALEMENT, reimagines how citizens report urban issues by using AI to connect citizen observations with city operations.

By bringing together AI, computer vision, Edge Computing, and intelligent automation, SIGNALEMENT helps turn reports into actionable information that can be understood, classified, and routed more efficiently.

This challenge gave us the opportunity to put AI into action on a real-world municipal challenge, and we’re proud to see the solution recognized on the ALL IN stage.

A huge thank you to the City of Montréal for the opportunity to collaborate and work together on this challenge.

We’d also like to thank DDN and NVIDIA for their continued support on this project and for helping us leverage DDN Infinia and NVIDIA VSS to bring SIGNALEMENT to life.

M2M Tech joined the State & Future of Maritime Fuels in BC event to learn more about where the maritime energy transition is heading, and what the real challenges look like on vessels, at ports, and across the wider ecosystem.

The day covered biofuels, LNG, methanol, electrification, emissions, vessel operations and infrastructure, with speakers from Maritime Centre for Climate , Energy Research Centre , ULC, Ferries , , of Los Angeles and others sharing current projects, lessons learned, and the practical realities behind cleaner marine fuels.

The afternoon also included a C40 Cities-facilitated workshop on what BC can learn from other regions as it builds its own clean marine fuel pathways.
A highlight for us was also visiting the UBC Clean Energy Research Centre labs and student design teams and seeing some of the research and engineering happening behind the scenes.

For M2M Tech, the day was a good opportunity to better understand where edge computing, resilient data capture, onboard analytics and low-connectivity data pipelines could support future measurement, research and operational deployments.

It was also a great lead-in to GreenShip 2026, and we’re looking forward to continuing the conversations around cleaner fuels, vessel technology, data and the broader maritime transition.

Thanks to VMCC, UBC/CERC, C40 Cities, the speakers, researchers, students and industry participants for sharing their experience and making the day so useful.
