Elite athletes spend years learning how their bodies respond to training, competition, travel, and recovery.

But performance isn’t only physical.

Your brain is processing what’s happening around you in real time, recognizing information, responding to it, and helping you navigate every moment of competition.

And over the course of a long season, things change.

That’s why having objective information about cognitive function over time can be so valuable. NeuroCatch Brain Vital Signs gives athletes and their teams another way to understand what’s happening beyond physical performance alone.

Clinical assessment is rarely based on a single data point.

The NeuroCatch Platform provides an objective evaluation of cognitive function through brain vital signs rooted in event-related potentials. Repeated assessments allow clinicians to compare EEG and ERP information at different points in time.

This information can help inform clinical assessment when interpreted alongside patient history, observation, self-report and other available clinical data. It is not intended to determine the effectiveness of a specific intervention or therapy.

How much activity is involved in a brain response and when does that response occur?

Amplitude and latency describe different aspects of event-related potential information. Amplitude reflects the size of the response, while latency reflects its timing. Neither measure provides the full picture when interpreted alone.

The NeuroCatch Platform evaluates three well-studied neural signals of information processing and reports the size, speed and variability of the brain response. Clinicians interpret this objective data together, in conjunction with other available approaches and clinical data.

Because the meaning is found in the pattern and the context.

We’re used to comparing ourselves to averages.

But when it comes to the brain, one of the most valuable comparisons may be with yourself over time.

Having objective information about cognitive function can give clinicians another piece of context to consider as they follow changes over time rather than relying on a single snapshot or population averages alone.

Because understanding brain health isn’t just about where you fall compared to everyone else.
It’s about building a clearer picture of what’s happening for you.

Technology can capture information. Clinical specialists determine what that information means within the broader assessment.

The NeuroCatch Platform elicits, acquires, analyzes and reports EEG and event-related potential information to aid in assessing cognitive function. Its report is intended to be interpreted by a trained clinical specialist alongside other available approaches and clinical data.

While the evaluation is objective, its significance depends on professional interpretation and context.

Cognitive function can change over time. Understanding its current presentation requires information that extends beyond observation and self-report alone.

The NeuroCatch Platform provides objective evaluations of cognitive function through brain vital signs rooted in event-related potentials. It records how the brain responds while processing information, providing clinicians with another source of information to consider during clinical assessment.

Because what cannot be directly observed may still be objectively evaluated.

Personalized medicine is changing how we think about care.

Because the question isn’t only, “Does this work?”

It’s also, “Is this working for me?”

That’s where having objective information about cognitive function can add another piece to the picture. NeuroCatch Brain Vital Signs provide clinicians with information they can consider alongside other clinical data when evaluating changes over time and determining what comes next.

Because when care becomes more personalized, understanding the individual matters.

What does the response timing and size tell us?

A brain vital sign response is extracted from event related potentials (aka brain waves). The timing of a response (latency) is a direct indication of how quickly the brain processes information. The size of the response (in science amplitude) is a direct indication of the underlying brain activation that created the response. Both measures are complementary. For timing, faster is better (shorter latencies). Response size provides richer information reflecting the number of brain cells activating in synchrony, with higher or lower levels from the norm providing valuable insight into the underlying state of brain processing.

The NeuroCatch Platform evaluates three well-studied neural signals of information processing and reports the size, speed and variability of the brain response. Clinicians interpret this objective data together, in conjunction with other available approaches and clinical data.
Repeated monitoring provides an objective evaluation of changes in cognitive processing. This is the fundamental concept behind NeuroCatch providing a brain vital signs evaluation. Monitoring these brain vital signs allows a clinician to compare different points in time.

Together with available history and clinical assessments, his information can help inform diagnosis and effective treatment. NeuroCatch is often used to evaluate and track changes related to injury, disease, healthy aging, and cognitive performance optimization.

One assessment provides information about cognitive function at a single point in time. Repeated assessments can add context by allowing clinicians to compare objective measures over time.

The NeuroCatch Platform measures three well-studied neural signals of information processing and reports the size, speed and variability of the brain response. These brain vital signs provide valuable information that can help inform clinical assessment alongside other available approaches and clinical data.

Because one result is only one part of the clinical picture.

Every meaningful advancement in science starts with understanding.

Not all at once, but one question, one discovery, and one insight at a time.

Our understanding of the brain continues to evolve, and with every new discovery comes another opportunity to deepen our knowledge of one of the most complex systems in the human body.

Progress isn't defined by having all the answers. It's defined by continuing to ask better questions.
