Fall is creeping up on us, and a few small checks now can save you from a very expensive surprise once the rain, wind and cold arrive.

Here are 7 things to do before winter:

1️⃣ Check your HVAC — change your filters and book a seasonal service.

2️⃣ Find the drafts — check windows, doors, outlets and vents. Cold air getting in = money going out.

3️⃣ Prep windows + doors — remove screens, check seals and secure anything outside.

4️⃣ Inspect your fireplace — clean buildup and check for cracks before the first cozy fire.

5️⃣ Look up! — clear your roof and gutters and repair damaged shingles before heavy rain hits.

6️⃣ Tidy the yard — trim trees, rake leaves and give your lawn one last feed.

7️⃣ Protect outdoor furniture — clean, cover and store what you can now. Future you will thank you.

We’re honoured to have received more than 100 industry awards, including the 2025 Grand Georgie for Residential Renovator of the Year. Each one reflects the care, craftsmanship and dedication of our entire team—as well as the amazing clients who made the work possible.

A whole home renovation rarely reads as one big change. It reads as a handful of rooms that finally agree with each other.

That is the story behind Evergreen Edit. The existing open staircase and double height living room got a new anchor: a rebuilt fireplace surround, paired with an accent wall behind it, warm and grounding under the vaulted ceiling. The primary ensuite was rebuilt around light: two skylights, a freestanding soaker tub, and a walk in glass shower finished in patterned tile. The kitchen picked up the same quiet confidence, with warm cabinetry, a patterned backsplash, and a walnut island built for real family life.

Different rooms, same throughline: nothing loud, everything considered. That's how we do it. Everytime.
