This is a reminder to you that parenting a child with ADHD does not mean you have to entertain and schedule every moment of their day.

But it does mean teaching them to self direct and find things to do will take work and patience. They don’t always have the skills to be ok in the bored and pivot.

Play is important ///

Play is key part of any child’s development. It might look different for different kids but slowing down long enough to encourage children of all ages to PLAY remains key area development and learning happens in.

💫 so while summer is still here, let’s remember to encourage and model play 😊
