I think everyone can agree that more trade with democratic countries around the world is a good thing.

We have strong ties to Europe thanks to Stephen Harper. Although with CETA, 10 more European countries still need to approve the deal. Let's focus on resolving that first.

Other decisions of whether or not to pursue any status with the European Union should be for Canada's Parliament to make after robust debate and thorough study, and quite frankly after voters go to the ballot box.

With no definition of what an "associate member" is, though, Canadians are left in the dark right now, wondering about what it means.

The PMO and even Mark Carney himself denied seeking associate member status, saying the Wall Street Journal article was wrong. Yet here is the EU President publicly contradicting those claims while Mark Carney excitedly smiles and claps. So, which is it?

Where's the respect and transparency that Canadians deserve about our own country's future?

With all the talk around investment in pipelines and other major projects this week, it is worth mentioning that there is a project here in Southwest Saskatchewan that is shovel ready and that is for a helium liquefier.

The world needs our helium. We need the ability to get it to the world.

I have been saying for a while now that the Liberals need to make substantive structural changes to create an advantage in Canada for Canadian businesses and energy producers.

This is a step in the right direction. Still more to do. Now green-light the 500 projects waiting for approval to give our economy the jolt of energy it needs.

All of us got together this week as Saskatchewan Conservatives to meet with different industries and stakeholders from across our province.

Summer goes by fast, and before you know it we'll be back in Ottawa to stand up for our communities.

A huge highlight was touring the RCMP Depot and watching a drill.

It was special to have local mayors and other reps with us from Swift Current—Grasslands—Kindersley!

Conservatives are always on Saskatchewan's side.

What's going on?

Another 180 from the Carney Liberals who apparently make decisions without consistency or transparency.

The way Mark Carney handles being at war is truly baffling. On the eve of a major negotiating deadline he goes to Tuscany for the week.

Then in a show of solidarity, Pierre Poilievre offers to reconvene Parliament to implement our Economic Action Plan to help Canadian businesses. Instead, Carney runs to the European Parliament.

So much for Team Canada.
