🐾 Your $20 calendar helps create moments of connection. 💙

One of the organizations supported by the Blue Barn Fundraising Calendar is the St. John Ambulance BC/Yukon Therapy Dog Program.

🐕‍🦺Therapy dog teams visit schools, healthcare settings, seniors' residences and communities across BC and Yukon, bringing comfort, connection and a little bit of joy to people who need it.

The photos in this post show just a few of the moments made possible through the program:

🐾 River visiting wildland firefighters at the OK Falls Fire Camp. Every night, a therapy dog team visited while the firefighters were stationed there.

🐾 Grace and volunteer Deena supporting staff and volunteers helping people impacted by wildfires in Kamloops.

🐾 Rhodes, a retired racing greyhound, bringing moments of connection to students and seniors in White Rock.

These moments might seem small, but they can help people feel seen, valued and connected.

Your purchase helps support the volunteer therapy dog teams that make these visits possible. 🧍🐕

📅 The 2027 Blue Barn Fundraising Calendar is just $20, and 100% of the proceeds go to rescues and community organizations across BC through the Blue Barn Community Cares Society.

Pick yours up in-store or online and help us keep giving back. 💙

🐶 If that’s not a “may I have a treat?” face, we don’t know what is! 😂

Gus is one of our regular visitors, and he recently celebrated his 6th birthday! 🎉

He loves getting pets from the team and always politely waits for his turn at the treat sample drawer. 🦴 🐾

Happy birthday, Gus! We always love seeing you! 💙

Today, September 30, we’re wearing orange to honour the children who never returned home from residential schools, as well as Survivors, their families, and communities.

Our hours today are 10 AM to 5 PM.

🍞 The Blue Barn Loaf Report

🐱 Subject: Ollie

📝 Judge's Notes:
Another attempt by Ollie, this time in the interesting Shipping Box Loaf formation.

Ollie has taken some creative liberties with the traditional loaf. His expression clearly displays disdain, though this may be due to being denied the opportunity to steal a catnip toy from a nearby companion. This event was not caught on camera, sadly. Nevertheless, witnesses can confirm the incident and Ollie's involvement remains highly suspicious.

Front legs are slightly visible, however, to his credit, the paws are hidden. The last two or so inches of tail are also visible, meaning he clearly did not take the feedback from his last review to heart.

It can only be presumed that his pursuit of the perfect score has taken a brief pause, especially seeing as he went so far as to yawn mid-photo. What appears to be an unsatisfied expression was actually the beginning of a yawn, which was conveniently caught on camera for the record.

🍞 Loaf Rating: 5/10 toe beans

✏️ Judge's Comment: A creative effort. The judges remain intrigued.
