I mean, seriously how am I supposed to handle this level of cuteness! 😊 Meet Daisy and Charlie. These adorable Maltese puppies were doing a lot of barking at every little sound they heard! By the end of our first lesson we were able to teach them that they didn’t have to be worried about these sounds. By learning to speak dog and communicating with them, clearly, their owners are teaching them that they can relax and be calm happy dogs. If you need help with your barker reach out to us at www.barkbusters/Niagara/. Our in-home lessons tackle the problem where it is happening!

The Complete Guide to Walking Your Dog in the Dark 10/01/2026

The clocks go back on Sunday, ⏰ November 1, and the evening walk changes overnight. By December most of us lose the light by 5pm, so the walk before work and the walk after dinner both happen in the dark. 🐶🌛

Your dog notices things long before you do. A rabbit under a hedge, a person in a hooded coat, a raccoon crossing the road. That is why dogs who stay relaxed in daylight suddenly stop, stare or bark at night.

Our new complete guide covers:
Being seen.
The right leash and route.
Calmer walks.
What to do if you meet a coyote or a skunk.

I train in your home across the Niagara Region and Stoney Creek, so we work on the same dark driveway your dog reacts to every evening. Every program comes with our Life Of Dog Support Guarantee. Call 905-853-0195.

The Complete Guide to Walking Your Dog in the Dark Bark Busters

Sometimes, all a dog needs is a little time, patience, and someone to show them that they’re safe. ❤️

Meet Snow. 🐾

This beautiful girl was a brand-new rescue who had just arrived at her new home and was having a hard time being left alone. Living in a condo made things even more difficult, as there isn’t much tolerance for barking.

Her family reached out for help, and from the very first lesson, we could see just how much Snow was capable of.

Thankfully, Snow didn’t need much time to start feeling more secure. At our very first lesson, we were able to show her that she was safe. By our second lesson, Snow was already beginning to understand that being alone was okay. 🐾🥰

Working with rescue dogs is always so rewarding. Helping them build confidence, learn to trust, and feel comfortable in their new home is what makes this work so special.

If your dog is struggling with separation anxiety, barking, or other behaviour challenges, don’t wait until things become overwhelming. We’re here to help.

Today is World Rabies Day, and your annual reminder that protecting your pet from rabies is the law. With an almost 100% mortality rate after symptoms present, you do not want to take any chances. Many vets and shelters offer affordable vaccine clinics throughout the year.

A simple vaccine can help protect your pet, your family and your community.

Rabies is a deadly disease that can spread from infected animals to people. The good news? Rabies is preventable through vaccination.

In Ontario, dogs, cats and ferrets three months of age and older are required by law to be vaccinated against rabies.

Not sure when your pet’s next rabies vaccine is due? Speak with your veterinarian.

Why Does My Puppy Bite Me So Much? 09/23/2026

Puppy nipping, mouthing and biting is a very common concern, and families are usually worried their puppy is turning aggressive. Mouthing and nipping is how puppies explore, play and burn off energy, and this behaviour peaks at a predictable age.
Consistency is key. If one person yanks their hand away, another wrestles back, and a third pushes the puppy off the couch, the puppy gets three different messages and keeps testing. When the whole household responds the same way, nipping and mouthing behaviour settles far faster.
Our new guide covers why puppies bite, the age it usually peaks and eases, exactly what to do the moment teeth touch skin, and the common reactions that quietly make it worse.

We train in your home across the Niagara Region and Stoney Creek with the whole family involved, so your puppy learns the rules where the biting actually happens.

Why Does My Dog Growl at Me? 09/15/2026

You reach for the bowl, or lean over to move your dog off the couch, and you hear a low rumble from a dog you trust completely.

Owners tell me this quietly, like it is something to be ashamed of. It is not. A growl is your dog being honest. It means every quieter signal has already been missed, and this is the one we reliably notice.

The worst thing you can do is yell or get physical with the dog.

Our new post covers the real reasons dogs growl at their own people, the four reactions that make it worse, and what to do.
