Some pieces come together easily.
Others challenge you until the very last minute.
This tray was one of those pieces.
Two days before the event, I decided to completely redo the outer finish. I sanded everything down and started over because it still didn’t feel close enough to what I had imagined.
The final touches were finished the night before the event. Even the small corner details were added at the very last minute.
Honestly, I never expected this piece to leave so quickly. I hadn’t even fully arranged my table yet when a lovely group of women stopped, fell in love with it, and took it home.
And somehow… this tray that was rebuilt almost at the last moment is now in Hong Kong.
Sometimes the hardest pieces become the easiest travelers.

When something is made by hand… it feels different
Not just in how it looks,
but in the feeling it carries.
Every detail shaped with care,
every line touched with intention.
And somehow… that feeling stays with you.
In your tea,
your dessert,
and your quiet moments.
