October Check-in is here! 🍂
Once a month, we come together and do exactly what the name says: check in.
-What did you learn this month?
-What new word, expression, or grammar point finally clicked?
-And most importantly… can you actually use it? 👀
That’s what we’ll be doing in today’s French Made Easy Check-in Session.
We’ll talk, practise, share what we’ve been learning and, of course, speak some French. 😊
Because sometimes progress in a language doesn’t look dramatic. It’s remembering a word you used to forget. Understanding a sentence without translating it. Speaking for a little longer than you could last month.
Those little wins count. 💛
FME students, see you on Zoom today at 12pm EST! 🇨🇦
And if you’re not a student yet, I can’t wait to have you join us. 💛
Want to learn French with us and be part of sessions like this? DM me “FRENCH” and let’s get you started.

One French word a day for 31 days!
Don’t just read the word and move on.
For each day:
- Learn the word
- Make your own sentence with it
-Say it out loud
- Try to use it at least once during the day
By the end of October, you’ll have 31 new French words you actually know how to use.
Save this post and start with Day 1 today!

Learning French but have nobody to practise with? 🇫🇷
You can study vocabulary and grammar all day, but speaking is how you build confidence.
That’s why our community helps French learners connect with a French-speaking partner to practise, have conversations and improve together.
You don’t have to learn French alone. ❤️
Want a French partner? Comment “PARTNER” and I will send you the link to join the community for FREE!

Think French is only useful if you already have CLB 7?
Not necessarily.
French can potentially help strengthen your Express Entry profile by adding CRS points, even if you’re not yet eligible for the French-language category.
And when you’re only a few points away from a cutoff, those extra points can matter.
So if Canada is part of your plan, don’t ignore French.

I wasted 8 years trying to learn French.
Here are 10 things I wish someone had told me. 🇫🇷
1. You don't need to learn everything at once.
Focus on what you actually need for your level.
2. Vocabulary is useless if you don't know how to use it.
Learn words in sentences and real-life contexts.
3. Speaking from day one is important.
Don't wait until your French is ""perfect.""
4. Grammar shouldn't be your entire French education.
You need grammar, but you also need to listen, speak, read and write.
5. Listening needs to be practised separately.
Knowing the words on paper doesn't mean you'll understand a French speaker.
6. Stop translating every sentence in your head.
Train yourself to understand French directly.
7. Repetition is more important than constantly learning new words.
You need to revisit what you've already learned.
8. You don't need 10 different French apps.
One clear learning system is better than constantly jumping between resources.
9. You need to know what to learn next.
Random learning can make you busy without actually moving you forward.
10. French becomes easier when you have a roadmap.
Knowing what to learn at A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1 gives your learning direction.
And honestly, #10 is the mistake I wish I had avoided from the beginning.
That's why I created my French Guide , a structured A1–C1 roadmap that shows you what to learn at each level, so you don't have to spend years wondering what to study next.
Stop learning French randomly. Start following a roadmap. 🇫🇷
Send me "GUIDE" if you want to get yours.
