Peace March Committee in collaboration with TO Wards Peace, invites you to join the Community March Against Gun Violence on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Gather at 2:00 PM at 485 Shuter St. or 2:30 PM at Sankofa Square, as we march together to the Toronto Peace Garden at Nathan Phillips Square.
Join us as we take a stand against gun violence and march toward a more peaceful city.

Nekai Foster’s story of survival made its way to City Hall. 🎥🎞️
TO Wards Peace welcomed Nekai Walks, director Rico King, and community leaders and members, for a screening of the award-winning documentary ‘Nekai Walks’ a film on trauma, resilience, and the power of community in the face of gun violence.

As part of National Day Against Gun Violence, youth showcased their Peace Project banners and boards while community partners connected families with resources throughout the day. Caregivers gathered for a brunch, and youth and caregivers each had space for sessions focused on healing and support.

The deadline to apply for the 2026 Peace Projects Grant has been EXTENDED to June 15 at 11:59 p.m. 📢
Six groups across the city will each get up to $10,000 to build anti-violence projects that positively impact their communities.
Three groups in the Northwest (Jane and Finch, Rexdale) will be selected and three in Scarborough (Morningside, West Hill, Woburn, Malvern).

Yesterday, TO Wards Peace marked the National Day Against Gun Violence to remember and honour the lives lost, and to look forward with a commitment to healing and peace.
This day exists because gun violence causes devastating impacts to victims, families, and our community. Together, we choose prevention. We choose intervention. We choose peace.
