The Pulp Collective was formed in 2015 by Emma Mackenzie Hillier, James Schultz and Ella Batten to create episodic theatre experiences – the first ever miniseries for the stage – modernizing how artists create and audiences consume theatre. On stage at the Storefront this fall, The Pulp Collective presents the six-part series: The Numbers Game; an epic true story of 1930’s gangland warfare, pitting fiery Harlem Madam Stephanie “Queenie” St. Clair against the brutal gangster Dutch Schultz for control of the Harlem numbers racket.
