CCRAN
CCRAN is the most trusted colore**al cancer resource & action network in Canada.
THE REALITY IS: We need to better understand why this is happening.
Early age onset cancers are on the rise, yet important questions remain about why this is happening.
As a GI medical oncologist, Dr. Sharlene Gill sees this changing landscape firsthand.
“I think what we are lacking is a better understanding of why this is happening.”
For Dr. Gill, this knowledge gap underscores the urgency of continued research, education and advocacy to help us better understand early age onset cancers and improve care for younger patients.
Hear Dr. Gill’s perspective and join the conversation at CCRAN’s 6th Annual Early Age Onset Cancer Symposium (EAOC26), a free, virtual event bringing together perspectives from across cancer types.

Have you or a loved one been diagnosed with locally advanced re**al cancer?
Dostarlimab (JEMPERLI®) is anticipated to undergo a funding review in Canada for adults with mismatch repair deficient (dMMR)/microsatellite instability-high (MSI-H), stage II/III, locally advanced re**al cancer. As part of this process, we invite patients and caregivers to share their experiences in a confidential 45-minute telephone interview.
You do not need to have received dostarlimab to take part — we want to hear from stage II or III re**al cancer patients at all stages of treatment, including those who were treated and later progressed.
Patient perspectives are crucial to helping decision-makers better understand the real-world impact of cancer and its treatments.
If this applies to you or someone you care for, we encourage you to reach out to learn more about how you can help.

THE REALITY IS: Cancer is a life diagnosis.
When Zarine Bharda was diagnosed with Stage IV re**al cancer, she wasn’t only facing cancer. She was raising her children, building her career and planning for the future.
As Zarine so powerfully shares:
“Early age onset cancer is not just a medical diagnosis. It is a life diagnosis that changes every part of a person’s world.”
For many younger adults, the impact of cancer extends far beyond treatment — affecting their families, careers, finances, emotional well-being and plans for the future.
Our cancer care systems must recognize that reality.
Hear Zarine’s story and join the conversation at CCRAN’s 6th Annual Early Age Onset Cancer Symposium, a free, virtual, pan-tumour event happening November 19–20, 2026.
