মানুষের সবচেয়ে ভয়ংকর রূপটা তখনই দেখা যায়, যখন তার তোমাকে আর প্রয়োজন থাকে না। যতদিন স্বার্থ আছে, ততদিন ভালোবাসা, যত্ন, প্রতিশ্রুতি—সবই থাকে। স্বার্থ ফুরিয়ে গেলে মুখোশটাও খুলে যায়।

হয়তো স্বার্থপর মানুষগুলো সাময়িকভাবে জিতে যায়। কারণ তারা পেছনে ফেলে আসা ভাঙা মানুষগুলোর হিসাব রাখে না। কিন্তু জীবন বড় অদ্ভুত—আজ তুমি কারও বিশ্বাস ভেঙে নিশ্চিন্তে চলে যেতে পারো, কিন্তু কাল তোমার নিজের বিশ্বাস কে ভাঙবে, সেটা তুমি জানো না।

সব কিছুর উত্তর মানুষ দেয় না। কিছু উত্তর সময় দেয়। আর কিছু হিসাব আল্লাহর কাছে থেকে যায়—যেখানে কোনো অভিনয়, অজুহাত কিংবা মিথ্যা দিয়ে নিজেকে নির্দোষ প্রমাণ করা যায় না।
