Just a quick hello, photo dump and reintroduction: my name is Rodylyn and when I’m not in the lab as a scientist, I’m flexing my creative side as a calligraphic artist 💜

~ Better late than never ~ Scrolling through projects and came across a fun one: custom designed photo album for a client’s first wedding anniversary.

This faux leather didn’t take traditional marker ink too well, but it worked beautifully with traditional sumi black ink and a glass nib pen. Add some lacquer to seal in the memories and voila!

I love these personal pieces that showcase the connections folks make with one another, and I never tire of them.

Happy (belated) anniversary to Chloe and Jal—hope it was wonderful! 🥰

~It’s Getting Better~ Hellos 👋🏼 + Life Update

Long time no see penpals! It’s been a while, but sometimes life throws you curveballs and you have to adapt.

From highs of live events and getting another year wiser to lows of renovations and losing matriarchs, I’m reminded of the whys and people I do what I do, especially for myself.

So enjoy a small slice of life being the scenes and know that it’s ok to step back in order to jump further.
