What’s in store for 30?

Not 100% sure but I’m open to see how friggin good it can get ❤️‍🔥

I’m not really good at relaxing …

I’m the type to bring a full journal to the spa and use my massage time to brainstorm ideas and plan my weeks 😂

It feels nearly impossible to quiet my mind…

So much of my identity is attached to helping people and being productive.

I get so much purpose and satisfaction doing and being of service and building.

I know it’s not healthy… it’s something I’ve been working on for years.

It’s literally why I forced myself to start new hobbies like dance because I didn’t like that my full personality was work.

Who was I when I didn’t have my clients, my family, my personal brand, my daily non negotiables?

Did I love who I was without work?

A few years ago I challenged myself and took myself to Vipassana, a 10 day silent meditation.

No phones. No writing. No reading. Just sitting in silence.

It was the hardest thing I have ever ever done.

It made me sit with myself with zero distractions.

It brought up so much for me…

These are parts of me I’m still working on even 3 years after that experience.

And I know I’m not the only entrepreneur who struggles with this.

Many of us are so locked in and building that we forget that before the business, there was you.

Just you.

So while away celebrating turning 30, I am challenging myself to be way more present and not as attached to my phone and work.

I’ll keep you updated on how I do 😂 so far I’d score myself a 4/10 😂

My team cancelled most of my coaching calls but I still kept a few because I LOVE working by the beach.

It’s a dream I’ve been building for years. I’ll share more on this tomorrow morning 🫶

For now I’m logging off and going to be with myself. Fully present.

I got to play mermaid with so many of my girlfriends,

so many of the partners we have worked with over the years,

We went deep into what it actually took to build a community, how she pitched at Dragons Den after 2 hour notice and the EPIC music video she made with Barbie.

She described entrepreneurship as your ability to stay in discomfort for as long as you can… Like holding your head underwater as a kid and seeing how long you can last….

Sounds accurate af!
