(Re)-Introducing Valentina, now joining the Work in Progress team as a full time therapist and accepting new clients for both virtual and in person sessions.
Valentina brings a warm, grounded presence to her work alongside a toolkit that’s genuinely unique. As both a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a certified hypnotherapist, she works with adults navigating anxiety, grief, identity, relationships, self-doubt, and the kind of patterns that feel impossible to shift on your own.
She offers sessions in English and Italian and warmly welcomes newcomers and members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
If Valentina sounds like the right fit, we’d love for you to connect!

Introducing Julia, now accepting new clients for both virtual and in person therapy sessions!
You may already know Julia as our Operations Coordinator. Now she’s also here as a therapist, and that dual role says a lot about how deeply she shows up for the Work in Progress community.
Julia specializes in the kind of work that gets to the root of things. Particularly the lasting impact of complex family dynamics, including parental addiction, emotional neglect, and intergenerational trauma, alongside concerns related to identity, body image, eating struggles, and relationship difficulties.
Her approach is warm, depth-oriented, and relational. She believes meaningful change becomes possible when you feel truly understood, both by yourself and in relationship with another.
If Julia sounds like the right fit, we’d love for you to connect!

And falling apart, when you finally have the space to do it, is actually part of the process.
It doesn’t mean you’re weak or that things are getting worse. It often means you’re finally somewhere safe enough to finally let go of what you’ve been carrying.
Our therapists are here for all of it. The messy, non-linear, quietly courageous work of putting the pieces back together in a way that actually feels like you.

Our clinical supervisors have been doing incredible work supporting the training therapists here at Work in Progress. And now, for the first time, we’re opening that up to take on supervisees from outside of WIP!
If you’re a student or qualifying therapist looking for supervision that is compassionate, trauma-informed, and genuinely invested in who you’re becoming as a clinician, we’d love to connect.
Five supervisors. Five distinct styles. One free consultation to find your best fit supervisor.

(Re)-Introducing Sarina, now joining the Work in Progress team as a full time therapist and accepting new clients for both virtual and in person sessions.
Sarina is a q***r Iranian-Canadian therapist whose path has taken her through crisis response work with the national su***de crisis helpline and extensive community and medical-based settings. That breadth of experience shapes a therapist who understands that the way we struggle is never separate from the world we live in.
She works with adults who feel disconnected, caught in cycles of self-doubt, or are trying to make sense of their identity, relationships, or sense of purpose, often without knowing exactly why. Her approach is relational, unhurried, and deeply human.
If Sarina sounds like the right fit, we’d love for you to connect!

Whatever this season is bringing up for you, big or small, named or not yet, that’s exactly what therapy is for!

It never gets old 🥹
So much of what brings people to therapy isn’t a single event or a breaking point. It’s the slow, quiet accumulation of years spent adapting, accommodating, and becoming whoever the room needed them to be.
Untangling who you actually are from who you learned to be? That’s some of the most meaningful work a person can do. And you don’t have to do it alone.
If you’re ready to start finding your way back to yourself, we’d love to be part of that. Book a free consultation at the link in our bio. 💛
