Splash On Earth

Ali Amr Nabil shares his expertise as a social worker by training our volunteers to run fun and safe eco-painting activities for his community.
Here's what Ali had to say about his experience with us:
It’s been great to connect with the local community and take action, make an impact and also develop my own skills especially when it comes to facilitation, leadership, and events management, and definitely some art skills.
The last slide features a video created by the Arts in the Parks team where Ali talks about how we bring the community in North York together to address environmental and food issues in a fun way.

A few paintings from our last event of the summer :) Liberty Village BIA greenlibertyvillage amazing eco-fair

Today we talked about pollinators and biodiversity :) outoora surrounded by nature where 50+ senior residents created their own imaginary pollinator with superpowers using old magazine cutouts and lots of fun art supplies

Thank you Aerelle and Megan for helping out today with our first Splash on Earth event on Toromto Island

This Saturday September 12 from 4 to 7PM will be our third year joining greenlibertyvillage 's Eco-Fair at Liberty Village Park! It's a great way to support eco friendly businesses and organizations and connect with people! We always love seeing people's amazing painting and products!

We are excited to table at Parkway Youth Council's Back to School Day event Friday September 11 at Parkway Forest Community Centre from 4 to 6:30 PM! Attendees can learn more about how we create fun volunteer opportunities for youth to develop leadership and teamwork skills while helping the environment through art! Registration is required so hope to see you there if you registered. Please email [email protected] for more information about the event.

Here's what Gogula wrote about her experience with us: I’m a grade 12 student passionate about giving back to the community. I started out as a participant with Splash On Earth, later joined the core volunteer team three years ago. This year, I'm the volunteer coordinator for Splash On Earth thanks to Canada Summer Jobs.

I love being part of Splash On Earth because it gives me a way to give back to the community, which is something I’m very passionate about. It’s an organization where I can volunteer and work toward something I truly care about.
