DON’T GET MAD AT YOUR PASTOR — LET THE WORD CHANGE YOU

There will be times when your pastor says something you do not want to hear.

There will be sermons that challenge your attitude, confront your choices, expose hidden areas of your life, and reveal things that need to change.

And sometimes, the truth will hurt.

Not because your pastor hates you.
Not because he wants to embarrass you.
But because God’s Word is designed to transform us, not simply make us comfortable.

Your pastor was not called only to make you feel good. He was called to preach the Word, teach the truth, encourage the discouraged, warn those who are drifting, rebuke what is wrong, and correct what needs to be corrected.

“Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.” — 2 Timothy 4:2

So when the message corrects you, don't immediately become offended.

Don't attack the messenger simply because you don't like the message.

Don't reject biblical correction simply because it exposes something you would rather hide.

Instead, humble yourself and ask:

“LORD, WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO TEACH ME?”

A faithful shepherd will not always tell the sheep what they want to hear.

Sometimes love speaks gently.
Sometimes love gives a warning.
Sometimes love must speak firmly.

A shepherd who truly cares about the sheep will not remain silent when they are walking toward danger.

But remember this too: pastors are human. They can make mistakes. They need grace, prayer, encouragement, and accountability. Never place your pastor above Scripture or treat him as though he were Christ.

Test every teaching by the Word of God.
Pray for wisdom.
Search the Scriptures.
And when correction is truly biblical, receive it with a teachable heart.

Before becoming angry at your pastor, pause.

Maybe that sermon wasn't meant to destroy you.

Maybe it was meant to redirect you.

Maybe the correction you resisted was actually protection.

Maybe the conviction you felt was God's mercy calling you back.

NOT EVERY CORRECTION IS REJECTION.

SOMETIMES CORRECTION IS PROTECTION.

The sermon that made you uncomfortable may be the sermon that exposed what was slowly destroying you.

The word you didn't want to hear may be the word you desperately needed.

So don't run from truth simply because it hurts.

Let the Word search your heart.
Let conviction lead you to repentance.
Let correction produce growth.
Let humility make you teachable.

And remember: a church that only tells us what we want to hear may leave us comfortable, but God's Word calls us to become more like Christ.

🙏 Pray for your pastor. Encourage your pastor. Respect biblical leadership. But above all, honor God's Word and remain faithful to Christ.

Don't get mad at correction.
Don't run from conviction.
Don't harden your heart.

This message is a reminder to look beyond what the eyes can see. Life isn’t only about working, achieving goals, gaining possessions, or enjoying temporary things. God created you with a purpose, and your life has an eternal destination. 🙏

God is our Creator, our Savior, and the One who guides us. The Father created us, the Son came to redeem us, and the Holy Spirit leads, teaches, and strengthens us. Our relationship with God should never be pushed aside, because nothing in this world is more valuable than our soul.

You are more than your physical body. You have a soul, a body, and a spirit. Your body is temporary, but your soul has eternal value. That’s why Jesus asked:

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” — Matthew 16:26

Think about it: What good is success if you lose your relationship with God? What benefit is there in gaining everything this world offers if you lose eternity? What does human approval matter if your heart becomes distant from your Creator?

Take care of your body, but don’t neglect your soul.
Work for your future, but don’t forget eternity.
Pursue your dreams, but pursue God even more.
Enjoy the blessings of life, but never allow temporary pleasures to take God’s place.

Feed your soul with God’s Word.
Strengthen your spirit through prayer.
Walk in obedience.
Keep worshiping even when circumstances are difficult.
Trust God even when you don’t understand everything He is doing.

One day, everything earthly will pass away. Wealth, possessions, popularity, achievements, and human recognition won’t have the value they seem to have today. What matters most is whether we truly knew God and lived according to His will.

Jesus said:

“I am the way, the truth, and the life.” — John 14:6

So while you still have time, seek God wholeheartedly. Don’t live only for today. Live with eternity in your heart.

❤️ Protect your soul.
💪 Take care of your body.
🕊️ Stay connected to God.
📖 Stand firmly on His Word.
🙏 Live a life that honors Him.

Never forget: This world is temporary, but eternity is forever.

Don’t lose your soul while chasing the things of this world. Choose God. Follow Jesus. Walk in His truth. Remain faithful until the end.

LIVE TODAY WITH ETERNITY IN MIND.
SEEK GOD. KNOW HIM. FOLLOW HIM. AND MAKE HIM KNOWN.
