🍁⛏️ 300+ exhibitors from mining, construction, industrial, and resource sectors filled the floor at CEN-CAN Expo 2026 in Thunder Bay last week, showing just how much hiring activity is driving Northwestern Ontario's workforce landscape.

Seven Generations Education Institute and Northwest Employment Works (NEW) ~ Thunder Bay, both service providers in the EmployNext network, exhibited alongside employers from these same sectors, putting them right in front of the industries actively hiring in the region. Their presence on the floor highlights the direct role service providers play in connecting job seekers to resource sector jobs driving the region's growth.

This past Saturday, we partnered with TCBN at its NexGen Builders Retreat, held at the historic Village at Black Creek.

It was great to connect with eager job seekers exploring apprenticeships and other opportunities in the trades, as well as employers looking to build their teams, and to raise awareness of the employment services available across Ontario.
