"I've been a proud ACTRA member for over 50 years now and as an actor it's always a comfort to know that someone has your back on every job. ACTRA has had mine since day one."

"Being an ACTRA member means I’m part of a family that has each other’s backs. That sense of community means I can give my best performance, knowing I’m safely on the shoulders of my fellow members.”

Anna Lambe is asking: “WHAT DO I WANT?”
One of Canada’s most compelling artists pens the feature article in the latest issue of CHROMA – the national ACTRA members’ magazine.
In this raw, unfiltered piece, Anna opens a space for reflection, ambition, identity, and the questions that keep her and the hit series North of North moving forward.
It’s intimate. It’s honest. And it’s a dialogue you will want to read from beginning to end.
Read her full feature EXCLUSIVELY in CHROMA issue 02 and check out the entire blockbuster issue via the link in bio and on actra.ca

September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. It is a time to remember the children who never returned home and to honour survivors and their families. Reconciliation is rooted in the courage to listen, the humility to acknowledge past and ongoing harms, and an unwavering commitment to upholding the truth while confronting denialism in all forms.
There are many ways to engage in the ongoing work of Truth and Reconciliation.
This year consider:
Learning and listening: Use the resources and free virtual programming offered by the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation (NCTR), including the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation gathering on Parliament Hill, or consider joining many of the gatherings being held across the country which are listed via the link in bio.
Read and reflect: Read The Shine Network Institute’s (The Shine Network Institute) Gikendamowin Initiative Report, which identifies the intersectional nature of barriers faced by Indigenous women and outlines a strategy that can be used to strengthen their recruitment, retention, and advancement in the screen sector.
Watch Indigenous-led content: Explore the Office’s “Watch Indigenous” collection and support films and stories created, written, directed and conceived by Indigenous screen creators.
Let us honour this day in solidarity with Indigenous Peoples today and every day, committing ourselves to the essential, ongoing work of truth-telling and meaningful reconciliation.

"Working ACTRA means standing alongside performers committed to ensuring our collective voice is heard. It means recognizing that no artist should have to navigate the systems that shape our work, our rights, and our working conditions alone.
When I was starting out, I was inspired by the dedication and perseverance of union members in a industry that can often feel beyond our control. They shared their vision of what our beloved profession could become. Today, I'm proud to continue that tradition, helping carry the torch toward a brighter, more sustainable and more collaborative industry. The power from standing together on shared values benefits artists, audiences, and the creative community in Canada and around the world."
