If you've been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, you're not alone. Join Wellspring's Under 55 Pancreatic Support Circle to feel less isolated by your diagnosis🤝

Created in partnership with Pancreatic Cancer North America, it's a confidential online support group where adults under 55 can connect with others who understand the unique challenges of navigating pancreatic cancer during this stage of life.

Led by an experienced professional, the support circle will allow you to share your experience (if you wish), exchange advice, and find emotional support from others living with pancreatic cancer.

Sessions take place online on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, for a duration of 90 minutes.

And they're off! Five teams of riders have hit the road for Wellspring's Ride for Cancer Support: Pedal to PEI to raise money for Wellspring's free-of-charge cancer support programs.

Cyclists began their eight-day journey from the start line at Wellspring Birmingham Gilgan House in Oakville, ON, on Saturday morning. Presented by Rexall, the ride will test participants’ endurance as they bike six hours a day, or 120 km per team, through eastern Canada’s diverse terrain to reach the finish line in Charlottetown, PEI on Saturday, August 22.

All the hard work is in honour of the Wellspring Champions – people living with cancer who serve as the inspiration for the ride.

Members got their steps in at Wellspring Birmingham Gilgan House in Oakville this week with the launch of our very first pole walking session 👣🌿

“I’m so glad I decided to sign up and try something new!” said one participant at the inaugural session.

Pole walking is a low-impact full-body exercise that combines cardiovascular activity with gentle upper-and-lower-body movement. It can be adapted for different fitness levels and is designed to support strength, mobility, and overall well-being.

Each session includes an introduction to techniques and then a 30 to 50-minute guided group walk with the instructor. Wellspring provides the poles for this program.

The next session is on September 16, 2026 from 10 to 11 a.m.

🚴 This Saturday, cyclists will set out from Oakville on an eight-day journey to Charlottetown as part of Wellspring’s Ride for Cancer Support: Pedal to PEI.

Together, they’ll cover more than 3,000 kilometres, riding in relay teams across some of Canada’s most beautiful and challenging landscapes.

But this isn’t simply a cycling challenge. It’s a community coming together to improve the lives of people living with cancer and their caregivers.

Cyclists. Volunteers. Families. Donors. Corporations. And Wellspring Champions – people living with cancer who will welcome our riders when they reach Charlottetown.

Everyone has a role to play.
Everyone is riding for a reason.
And together, we’re showing what’s possible when we come together for cancer support.

The road to PEI starts August 15.

We're Hiring: Cancer Exercise Program Leaders (Independent Contractor)

Wellspring is seeking qualified health care professionals to lead Cancer Exercise classes at our Toronto and Oakville centres.

We're looking for professionals with backgrounds in physiotherapy, kinesiology, exercise physiology, recreational therapy, or as a physiotherapist assistant.
