We are proud to host the 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗻, UK Special Envoy on Antisemitism, as part of his visit to Toronto for the FIFA World Cup. Lord Mann joins 𝗘𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱𝗺𝗮𝗻 for a conversation about his experiences fighting antisemitism and will be answering your questions.

Lord Mann, a member of The House of Lords, was co-founder of the United Kingdom’s Inter-Parliamentary Coalition for Combatting Antisemitism in 2008 and has led on this work in the UK Parliament for 20 years. For the last six years, Lord Mann has been the UK Government’s full-time independent advisor on antisemitism, including in sport. Amidst the ongoing rise in Antisemitism, Lord Mann is advising leaders to ensure sporting events remain secure, inclusive, and welcoming for all competitors and supporters.

When he isn’t cheering on England’s and Canada’s national teams at the World Cup, Lord Mann supports Leeds United Football Club.

Elliotte Friedman is a Canadian sports journalist. He currently works on CBC Sports programmes including hosting and appearing on the Hockey Night in Canada segment The Headliner.

This is a fun, easy class that will teach you the Hebrew alphabet and start you on your journey to reading along in the siddur, helping the kids’ homework, or whatever else your Hebrew dreams are.
