The following Posting Policy applies to those who choose to use Ontario Travel’s (Destination Ontario) Facebook fan page. By using this fan page and submitting a comment, photo, video and/or other materials, you (and your parent/legal guardian if you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence) agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Posting Policy.
• While we will not be able to monitor every posting, Destination Ontario reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to remove, edit, or otherwise modify any content that does not adhere to this Posting Policy, Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities and other policies from time to time.
• The purpose of this page is to celebrate and share travel experiences in Ontario. Please use this space to make your own posts in line with this theme.
• Please respect other users. This means that any comments or other materials you submit must not be inappropriate, abusive or otherwise offensive, and must not contain, depict or involve (without limitation) any of the following: profanity or otherwise offensive language; derogatory characterizations of any ethnic, racial, sexual or religious groups; content that endorses or condones any illegal, inappropriate or risky activity or behaviour; any other content that is or could be considered inappropriate, unsuitable or offensive, all as determined by Destination Ontario in its sole discretion.
• Destination Ontario respects intellectual property laws. By posting and/or submitting material to this fanpage, you represent that you have the right to share the material in your submitted content, including (without limitation) trade-marks and copyrighted material. Do not post or submit any third party materials unless you have first obtained consent from the owner of such materials. For example:
1)• You must obtain consent from every person who helped you create your posted materials (for example photographers, videographers);
2)• You must obtain consent from every identifiable person (and his/her parent/legal guardian if he/she is under the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence) who appears in your posted materials (note: if you cannot obtain the appropriate consent for an identifiable individual appearing in your posted materials, then his/her face must be blurred out);
3)• You cannot post, submit or otherwise use (in any materials you post) any music, logos, trade-marks or other copyrighted materials (for example photographs, pictures, texts, lyrics) unless you have first obtained consent from the owner of such materials.
4)• Comments or opinions expressed on the fanpage are those of their respective contributors only. The views expressed on this fanpage do not necessarily represent or reflect the views of OTMPC, its management or employees, or the provincial Government of Ontario. Destination Ontario is not responsible for, and disclaims any liability in relation to, the comments/materials posted by contributors to the fanpage.
5)• In addition to the rights that you grant to Facebook, you (and your parent/legal guardian if you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence) hereby: grant to Destination Ontario, its affiliates and partners, in perpetuity, a world-wide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to publish, display, reproduce, modify, edit or otherwise use your submitted content (in any format or media); and (ii) waive all moral rights in and to your submitted content in favour of Destination Ontario. This includes the right to use any ideas you submit (including ideas about our products or advertising campaigns) in any manner that we choose, without any obligation to you.
6)• Any materials that are deemed to contain advertisements, “spam” or junk mail content, or advertising, or references to other websites will be removed by Destination Ontario at its sole discretion.

8)• You (and your parent/legal guardian if you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence) hereby agree to release and hold harmless Destination Ontario, its affiliates and partners and each of their respective agents, employees, directors, successors and assigns from and against any and all claims based on the materials you post and/or submit, including (without limitation) claims based on publicity rights, defamation, invasion of privacy, copyright infringement, trade-mark infringement or any other intellectual property related cause of action.
