Never driven an electric vehicle? The Electric Vehicle Discovery Centre in Toronto is built for exactly that.

An appointment runs 45 minutes. The first 15 minutes are a welcome, the waiver and an introduction to the Centre, then you get 30 minutes exploring and driving the EVs with an EV Ambassador beside you answering whatever you want to ask. Want longer? Book two appointments back to back.

There are two locations. Yonge and Bloor has the Cadillac OPTIQ and VISTIQ, Chevrolet Equinox and Silverado, Hyundai IONIQ 5 and Toyota bZ. The North York satellite adds the Chevrolet Blazer, Hyundai KONA, Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, Volvo EX40 and Volvo XC60 PHEV.

Open Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Drivers must be at least 21 with a valid licence. If you do not drive, an EV Ambassador can, and children nine and older can ride along with a parent or guardian.
