It’s Chaton’s Day!!!
Happy birthday mon Amour. Every day I’m amazed by how great of a human you are. You inspire me in so many ways. The way I feel safe and cared for is something I never experienced before. I feel so grateful to see every side of you, to see you grow so much over the years. I love how we are building a life together while still being silly and playing like kids. I’m such a lucky girl to have you by my side. Really wish you all the best for this new year ♥️♥️
Joyeux anniversaire mon amour.
Welcome to Jamaica! 🌴 Yes, we actually booked part of our stay at the AC Hotel Kingston with points. Not a typo. Not a dream. Just aeroplan points doing their thing.
Here’s the tea on maximizing your points game:
• Connect your account to ALL their partners, more connections = more points, it’s basically free money
• Add your family members under one account and watch those points stack faster
• Not all partners are created equal, some rental car companies (and other services) will earn you way more points than others, so shop around before you book.
Your points are just sitting there. Go put them to work. ✈️

Meet the man who taught me that « waiting for the right moment » is just a fancy way of saying « never. » 🙃
Before Monsieur Chaton , I was that person: aeroplan points just sitting there, collecting dust, waiting for some perfect moment that never actually shows up. He looked at me like I was being ridiculous. Spoiler: I kind of was.
Turns out, YOU decide when the right time is. Not some imaginary future version of yourself with more time, more money, more whatever. So we used our points, and ended up in Jamaica surprising his family. Points well spent. Memories for life.
Are you more like me, or more like him?
Go check your aeroplan balance right now, big trip or weekend escape, and tell me where you’d go!

I was looking at one of my most popular blog posts: secret bars and restaurants in Toronto and thought I needed to update it. So we « sacrificed » ourselves for the team and booked a spot at this new secret restaurant in the heard of the city: Pasta Privato . And the food was DELICIOUS. The space is hidden on the back of Notte Ristorante . Behind the red curtains you find an intimate room, with 24 seats, only accessible through reservations. We loved our experience, if you want to read my full review head to the blog!!
Im loving all these summer activities in Toronto! Second attempt at line dancing. Won’t be joining a competition any time soon but I had a lot of fun with the girls and with strangers around supporting my very uncoordinated steps 😂
The Distillery Historic District is hosting more of these dance lessons throughout August, check the schedule and join the dance!
The Distillery Historic District a plusieurs cours pendant les prochaines semaines !

Day 4 & 5 in Kingston 🇯🇲
Our last full day was a Sunday, and a lot of places were closed. Pretty much like in France, not like in Canada though. So we took it easy. Started with a gym session, followed by ackee and saltfish, you definitely should try it if you’re visiting. It’s Jamaica National dish, and it’s delicious.
Once our bellies were full we met some more family members and I saw where Monsieur Chaton took his first steps, where he got to live his first years. I have heard so much about it. It’s so special to see the place and meet the people.
We ended up spending most of the afternoon by the pool at AC Hotel Kingston before heading to the other side of the family where they had coconuts ready for us, because they knew how excited we were to get some. The video tells you all: I was excited like a kid.
On our last morning we visited Deaf Can! Coffee , who empowers deaf people in Kingston. I read their mission and loved it.
It was time to leave. Sad to leave of course but with a heart full of love. But always a feeling like it’s just the beginning of something and we will be back soon.
There is so much more we both want to discover about the island.
I’m so grateful we are in the position to make these moves, that we can have the resources to be there. We often take for granted vacations.
We are now back, I’ll get to work and get you all the recommendations on the blog as soon as humanly possible!
Thank you for following along, thank you for all your kind words and messages. Means a lot to me to share this with you 💕

Day 3 in Kingston 🇯🇲
Anywhere you go in the world, if you say you’re from Jamaica, people will know at least one thing about your country: Bob Marley. I have heard it so many times while traveling with Monsieur Chaton ! We went to visit the museum here in Kingston, built in his own. Opened few years after his transition, by his wife. It’s incredible how much they have kept, how much you can see. 100% recommend it if you’re in Kingston.
Before that we stopped by Cafe Blue Jamaica to grab something to drink! I wanted to check the Irish town for the view, but it’s a bit outside of the city. Next time! Oh and yeah.. my tongue ended blue which a little girl at the museum found really funny.
Of course we went back to the pool hotel, because it’s hot out here! I love that they have mountains all around. It’s a nice view!
Ended up the day by the reason we are here: celebrating Monsieur Chaton turning 80 🎂🤍
Another beautiful day in Kingston
