Hong Kong Gaudeamus Dunhuang Ensemble brings the ancient sounds of Dunhuang to life through a captivating fusion of tradition and innovation.

Inspired by the musical manuscripts and murals preserved in the Dunhuang Mogao Caves and Library Cave, the Ensemble reimagines lost melodies for today’s audiences. Founded in Hong Kong in 2018, the Ensemble brings together resident composers and core musicians to create Chinese chamber music that bridges Eastern and Western cultures.

📚 Meet JLF author Anosh Irani.

Anosh Irani is an award-winning author and playwright whose work has earned three Governor General’s Literary Award shortlists and two Dora Mavor Moore Awards for outstanding new play. His acclaimed novel The Parcel was a finalist for the Governor General’s Literary Award, the Rogers Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize, and the Ethel Wilson Fiction Prize.

In 2023, Irani received the Writers’ Trust Engel Findley Award, recognizing his outstanding contribution to Canadian literature.
